Nylon Tea Bags
Did you know that a single nylon tea bag releases 11.6 billion microplastics into a cup of tea?  Researchers in Canada recently conducted a study sampling tea bags from four tea shops and cafes across Montreal and found each bag contained a thousand times more plastic than contained in table salt.  Some of these microplastics are even small enough to penetrate human cells!
