Lotus Blossom Black

This long leaf black tea scented with Vietnam's Lotus flower is a notably complex black tea. It has a malty flavor enhanced by the fragrance of the lotus blossom. The scent of the lotus is infused into the tea during drying. Similar to Chinese Jasmine Green, the tea leaves are layered with fresh lotus flowers while they are withering to allow the tea to absorb the aroma. The petals are removed, but some remain and are dried with the tea. The resulting liquor is a deep red color.
