Vietnamese Lotus Black Tea is a long-leaf black tea delicately scented with the blossoms of the Vietnamese lotus. This notably complex tea combines a rich, malty base with the soft, floral fragrance of lotus flower.
During the drying process, the tea leaves are carefully layered with fresh lotus blossoms, much like the traditional scenting method used for China’s jasmine teas. As the leaves wither, they naturally absorb the lotus aroma. Afterward, most of the petals are removed, though a few remain and are dried along with the tea.
The resulting infusion produces a deep red liquor with a smooth, malty character complemented by a lingering, elegant floral finish.
