Shincha

Shincha (1st Flush Sencha) Tea Description: Shincha, the 1st Flush of sencha, is known for its vibrant herbaceous flavor. Much bolder than sencha, this tea is best enjoyed at cooler temperatures (160-175°F) with shorter steeping times (30 seconds to 1 min).  Being the first harvest of the season, Shincha is bright, fragrant and finishes with umami. Our 2022 Shincha is from Yume, Japan and is best drunk using a kyusu to allow for the finer particulate to enter your cup. This enhances the umami finish and brings a heavier mouth feel.
